Effective October 4, 2026
Options Organizer is an app for Mac and iPad that tracks stocks and options. It’s made by Montiel Mobile, LLC. (“we”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. In short: we don’t collect any of your data. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking.
What the app stores, and where
- Your positions, watchlist, settings and saved CSV mappings are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before they’re saved. They sync between your devices through your own private iCloud database, which only you can access. We can’t read this data, and neither can Apple, because the encryption key never leaves your devices except through iCloud Keychain.
- The encryption key and your Alpaca API keys are stored in your device’s Keychain and sync to your other devices through iCloud Keychain, which is end-to-end encrypted.
- Display preferences, such as which sections are expanded, stay on each device.
Who the app connects to
- Alpaca (alpaca.markets), for market data. The app sends your Alpaca API keys and the symbols and option contracts you look up, so Alpaca can return prices. This goes directly from your device to your own Alpaca account, and Alpaca’s own privacy policy applies to it. The app never sends your positions or trade history to Alpaca.
- Apple iCloud, to sync your encrypted data and keys between your devices.
The app makes no other network connections. It includes no third-party code for advertising, analytics or crash reporting.
Information we receive
None from the app itself. If you choose to share crash reports and usage data with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may give us anonymized crash reports and aggregate statistics through App Store Connect. If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply.
Deleting your data
In the app, choose Settings › Privacy › Delete All Data. This permanently deletes your positions, watchlist and settings from iCloud and from every device signed in to your iCloud account, and removes your Alpaca keys from iCloud Keychain. Deleting the app from one device doesn’t remove the copy in iCloud.
Children
The app isn’t directed to children and collects no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and its effective date. If the app ever begins collecting data, we’ll say so here and in the App Store listing before that version is released.
